We are excited to announce a major expansion to the Wordly platform.
Since launching our first product in 2019, thousands of organizations around the world have trusted us to break down language barriers through live translation and captions. Now we’re building on that foundation by helping attendees engage with content, not just consume it, while giving organizers real-time insight into what resonates. Audience Engagement provides a new set of interactive features built into the live translation and caption stream. Attendees can react to what speakers say, highlight key moments, and take their notes home, while organizers see audience sentiment and the moments that resonate most as each session unfolds.
How Does Audience Engagement Work?
Audience Engagement runs inside the same Wordly app event attendees already use to follow live translation and captions in dozens of languages. As speakers present, attendees can pin emoji reactions to specific sentences, highlight key moments in the caption stream, and save personal notes without switching to a separate app. After the session, they can export their takeaways, session notes, and post-event summaries in any language.
For event organizers, every reaction and highlight becomes a signal. They can track engagement as it happens, measure audience sentiment throughout each session without interrupting the speaker, and see which statements, topics, and quotes resonated best.
There are no attendee accounts, logins, or special hardware to manage. Audience Engagement runs natively alongside existing Wordly features, and it requires no additional AV setup or equipment.

Why Real-Time Engagement Data Matters for Event Organizers
Most event organizers still learn how a session landed from post-event surveys that arrive days later and capture only part of the audience. By then, the chance to adjust has passed, and the feedback rarely points to specific moments in a presentation.
Audience Engagement gives organizers a live read of the room instead. Because reactions and highlights are tied to individual sentences, teams can see exactly which ideas sparked a response, compare engagement across sessions, and share results with speakers, stakeholders, and sponsors. And since attendees react while following along in their own language, multilingual audiences get an equal voice in that feedback.

Part of Wordly’s Ongoing Platform Expansion
Audience Engagement follows the recent launches of Silent Theater, which streams live audio to attendees’ phones without headsets or transmitters, and Sponsor Logos, which lets events monetize translation and captions through partner branding.
Together, these releases mark the next phase in Wordly’s mission to support organizations across the full event content lifecycle, from pre-event preparation, to live translation and real-time audience engagement, through to post-event content management.
